Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as needed, providing exceptional guest services from arrival to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Support food preparation and serving duties during busy periods, including food handling and basic kitchen assistance when necessary
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize guest flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience with fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus for creating upscale guest experiences
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure smooth restaurant operations
