Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Maintenance Technician for Hilton Garden Inn Redmond Seattle located in the heart of downtown Redmond.
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
This position is an evening position, with a start time between 2pm and 3pm, and ending between 10pm and 11pm. The position requires weekends on a regular basis and is a full time position.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the hotel by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. This role helps ensure a clean, well‑maintained environment for guests and team members while contributing to an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules
- Maintain guest rooms in optimal working condition, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fixtures
- Repair or replace items such as televisions, phones, lighting, bathroom fixtures, mirrors, and hardware
- Troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Perform general plumbing and minor electrical work as needed
- Repair and maintain furniture, flooring (carpet, tile, marble), windows, and finishes
- Maintain equipment used in kitchen, laundry, and housekeeping operations
- Assist with upkeep of building exterior and grounds
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Identify and report safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action
- Follow all safety procedures and support a safe working environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of hotel or building maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the workplace
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment required for maintenance work
- Work may include indoor and outdoor environments
