Job Overview
In partnership with the Fabrication Department, the Integrated Technology Specialist is responsible for the design, planning, integration, and execution of technology-driven solutions within custom-built client experiences, including lighting, audio, automation, interactive systems, and computer-controlled devices. This role will oversee the inventory of technical rental gear for the company, as well as custom pieces for specific projects and internal uses. Additionally, this position manages relationships with vendors, partners, and suppliers — coordinating support, sourcing new technology and products, and ensuring projects are brought to successful completion.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Technical Design & Fabrication
- Support the design and construction of custom sets, interactive props, and experiential elements for client programs.
- Oversee the planning and installation of integrated LEDs, fiber optics, or electroluminescent (EL) wire during the fabrication phase.
- Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electronic and control systems for interactive displays, games, and experiential installations, including auto and home integrated tech.
- Advise the fabrication team on design, installation, and testing of technical items during builds.
- Develop working knowledge of relevant design and fabrication software (VCarve Pro, Bambu Studio, Adobe Illustrator, and similar platforms).
- Collaborate with team members to manage workflows and optimize utilization of fabrication equipment, including 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC machines, and automated cutting systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the maintenance, organization, and readiness of company-owned and client-owned technical equipment.
Project & Account Management
- Partner with internal teams and external fabrication partners throughout concept development, design review, and project execution.
- Participate in production/account team meetings and act on discussed items accordingly.
- Manage account/project manager expectations and communications, providing updates on owned tasks.
- Assist in tracking project hours and costs against budget, and ensure accurate, timely paperwork submission.
- Ensure all project tasks are completed within agreed-upon timelines.
- Proactively anticipate problems, identify emerging risks/issues, and drive smooth project execution.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain proactive, clear, and timely communication with internal stakeholders through established company channels.
- Support internal departments with reasonable requests as needed, and build strong working relationships across teams.
- Collaborate with the team to exceed client and internal account expectations.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Apply innovative thinking and creative problem-solving to technical challenges and daily project needs.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the services the engagement provides and recommend ways to improve them.
Professionalism & Field Conduct
- Travel to event sites for team support as needed.
- Represent Trigger House and its clients professionally and responsibly while in the field.
- Adhere to the highest standards of agency processes and protocols to ensure smooth delivery across multiple projects.
Additional Support
- Document events, builds, and behind-the-scenes moments through photos and video.
- Support social media efforts through post suggestions, competitive monitoring, and content planning.
- Help maintain a clean, organized work environment in the office and warehouse.
- Identify best practices and efficiencies for overhead operations.
- Contribute to special projects and business initiatives as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in VectorWorks, Illustrator, and Bambu Studio is appreciated but not required.
- Creative, hands-on, and resourceful, with strong problem-solving capabilities when navigating challenges and competing priorities.
- Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of Trigger House's business, clients, and brand portfolio.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and maintain positive client relationships.
