Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Private Caregiver/Nanny team of 2+ professionals to provide dedicated, personalized care for a 9 year old with special needs. In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment while supporting the developmental needs of the child through engaging activities, meal preparation, and attentive caregiving. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help foster a positive and enriching experience for both the child and his family. Pay:
$19.00 per hour DOE to $22.00 per hour
Duties:
- Provide attentive childcare ensuring safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Engage child in educational activities, playtime, and developmental exercises that promote learning and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, diapering, and nap schedules to support healthy growth
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning toys and children's areas
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
- Support children with disabilities/special needs by implementing tailored care plans and working closely with his family and specialists
Schedule:
- Friday - During school 3:00PM - 10:00PM not during school 10:00AM - 10:00PM
- Saturday 10:00AM - 10:00PM
- Sunday 10:00AM – 10:00 PM
- The schedule may vary depending on family plans, including different start and end times or extended hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in roles such as nannying, babysitting, daycare assistant, or teaching positions
- Knowledge of infant care practices including feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and developmental milestones
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks related to childcare environments
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and other caregivers
- Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in caring for young children
