Position Summary
Safely supports and trains team members on shipping processes with the utilization of strong communication skills, training aids and on the job training techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fills in and performs any and all shipping positions in the absence of regular team members.
- Performs training of co-workers on shipping processes/equipment utilizing work standards. Learns new processes quickly in order to deliver and conduct training of others.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in regards to parts, tools, and job distribution to prevent down time on the Assembly Line.
- Knowledge of Bill of Lading (BOL)
- Utilizes root cause analysis tools (5-Why, fishbone diagram, PDCA)
- Understands the importance and necessity of Kaizen projects including time studies, MUDA Discovery, etc.
- Maintains 5S compliant work areas
- Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience working with AS400
- Extensive knowledge of Kubota products and shipping process
- Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles. Certifications must be achieved within 30 days of position start.
- Ability to be trained and certified on the Yard Dog within 90 days of position start.
- English language competency and legible writing ability
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience conducting on the job training
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
