Overview

The IDD medical coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of client medical care to ensure timely, accurate, and effective communication between healthcare providers, staff, clients, and guardians. This position plays a vital role in maintaining clients' health and well-being by managing appointments, medication coordination, physician orders, and staff training while ensuring compliance with policies and healthcare standards. This position involves transporting clients to and from their appointments.
Responsibilities
- Manage health records , ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth medical office operations, including appointment scheduling and patient record updates.
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare privacy protection standards in all record handling activities.
- Ensure compliance with health information management regulations and health regulation policies through regular audits and updates.
- Transporting clients to and from appointments
Skills
- Strong knowledge of health information management principles, including medical terminology, records management, and health regulation policies.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients, providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
