Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Doctor of Physical Therapy who wants more than just a staff position. In this role, you will be a vital partner in our patients' journeys, developing personalized treatment plans that restore mobility, build strength, and enhance overall well-being. Whether helping a neighbor recover from surgery or helping a kūpuna manage a chronic condition, your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who call Upcountry home. Your Role & Kuleana (Responsibilities)
- Family-Centered Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments with a holistic view, treating the person, not just the injury.
- Evidence-Based Excellence: Develop and deliver individualized care plans using the latest evidence-based treatments, including manual therapy, education and therapeutic exercise.
- Empowering Independence: Guide patients through their recovery journey, including coordinating seamless transitions and providing clear guidance for home and community-based care.
- Collaborative Success: Work closely with local providers to ensure every patient receives well-rounded, seamless care.
- Thoughtful Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed treatment records in our EMR system (Prompt EMR), ensuring that the story of each patient’s progress is clear and clinical standards are met.
- Continuous Growth: Monitor and adjust care plans regularly to optimize outcomes, always striving to find the best "move forward" path for your patients.
What You Bring to the Team
- Clinical Expertise: A strong foundation modern evidence-based practice including pain science, manual therapy and progressive exercise dosing and patient loading.
- Community Mindset: Experience (or a strong desire) working with a diverse range of patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics, within our unique Upcountry community.
- Compassionate Communication: A warm, approachable style that makes patients feel like family and helps them feel heard and supported.
- Professional Integrity: Familiarity with EMR systems and a high standard for accurate, professional documentation. Willingness to learn and use AI documentation and billing tools to increase efficiency.
- Passion: A genuine love for the profession and a belief that movement is the key to living a full, pain-free life.
