Job Title: Project Coordinator
Job Description
This Project Coordinator role supports a large-scale equipment relocation and manufacturing ramp-up project. You will focus on building, managing, and maintaining detailed project plans in Microsoft Project while driving communication, accountability, and execution across cross-functional teams on the plant floor. You will help keep timelines on track, ensure updates are accurately captured, and provide clear visibility to leadership on project progress and risks.
Responsibilities

Build, manage, and maintain detailed project plans in Microsoft Project, including Gantt charts, timelines, and task dependencies.

Own day-to-day updates to the project schedule by collecting and incorporating daily and weekly inputs from stakeholders.

Lead recurring project update meetings and drive follow-ups with internal teams, vendors, and operations to ensure actions are completed.

Track progress against project milestones and proactively flag risks, delays, or bottlenecks to the Project Manager and stakeholders.

Prepare and distribute weekly Gantt chart updates and schedule reports to provide clear visibility to the project team.

Support the creation and compilation of monthly reporting packages for senior leadership, ensuring data is accurate and current.

Coordinate activities related to equipment relocation into the manufacturing facility, aligning timelines and resources with operations and engineering.

Assist with machine startup and installation tracking, ensuring readiness and alignment with project schedules.

Help ensure work instructions are developed, updated, and practical for operators, supporting smooth production ramp-up.

Partner with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure equipment runs efficiently after relocation and ramp-up.

Maintain clear and organized project documentation, including action logs, status reports, and decision records.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, production, and vendors to resolve issues and keep the project on track.

Support activities related to installation, startup, and commissioning to ensure successful handover to production teams.
Essential Skills

Proven experience building and managing project schedules in Microsoft Project, including Gantt charts and dependencies (required).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and manage multiple tasks, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.

Confidence and experience in running meetings, driving follow-ups, and holding teams accountable for deliverables.

Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or capital equipment projects.

Ability to work effectively across functions, including engineering, operations, production, and vendors.

Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex updates and keep teams aligned on priorities and timelines.

Experience with equipment moves, facility expansions, or production line transfers.

Exposure to manufacturing environments or production floor execution and processes.

Familiarity with work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or operator readiness documentation.

Background supporting installation, startup, or commissioning activities for equipment or production lines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in roles such as project coordinator or project engineer within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Hands-on experience using Microsoft Project to manage complex, multi-phase projects.

Comfort working in fast-paced, high-visibility projects with leadership exposure.

Ability to create clear, concise documentation, including action logs, status updates, and reporting materials.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive execution.
Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing and production environment with significant interaction on the plant floor. You will work closely with engineering, operations, production teams, and vendors to coordinate equipment relocation, installation, startup, and ramp-up activities. The position offers hands-on involvement in a full equipment move and manufacturing ramp-up, with high visibility to leadership and strong potential for long-term opportunities. You can expect a collaborative, cross-functional setting where clear communication, structured planning, and disciplined execution are essential. Standard professional attire suitable for a manufacturing facility and plant floor safety requirements will apply.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Searcy, AR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
