About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and knowledgeable Brand Ambassador to join our team. This role is perfect for a storyteller and wine enthusiast who enjoys a mix of digital content creation and face-to-face community engagement. As the face of the brand, you will represent our values, lead educational initiatives, and help grow our community both online and in-person.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Promotion & Representation
- Actively promote the brand in a positive and professional manner across agreed-upon channels.
- Represent the brand with integrity and enthusiasm, strictly adhering to messaging, tone, and visual identity guidelines.
- Participate in live events, webinars, and virtual appearances to discuss and champion the brand.
2. Wine Education & Events
- Lead wine education initiatives and pop-up experiences "on-premise."
- Engage with the community to increase product knowledge and brand affinity.
3. Content Creation & Editorial
- Monthly Blog/Website Content: Author one post per month on topics such as industry trends, monthly recaps, small business insights, or thought pieces connecting current world events back to the brand.
- Original High-Quality Content: Create original photos/videos/text featuring our products that align with our brand image.
- Approval Workflow: All content must be submitted for approval within 5 days of an event and prior to public dissemination.
4. Referral & Growth Initiatives
- Actively encourage referrals and sign-ups for company newsletters and loyalty programs.
- Drive direct sales using provided tracking methods to measure impact.
5. Compliance & Feedback
- FTC Compliance: Ensure all endorsements and disclosures are clear (e.g., using #ad or #sponsored).
- Market Insights: Provide regular feedback to the company regarding promotional activities and audience engagement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Location: Must reside in Maryland or Washington, DC.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Exclusivity: To prevent brand confusion, the Ambassador may not represent other wine brands during their tenure. However, providing general wine education not tied to a specific competitor is permitted.
- Integrity: Must maintain a reputation that reflects positively on the brand at all times.
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills for blogging and charismatic public speaking skills for live events.
Compensation
This is an Independent Contractor position with a rate of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience in wine education, marketing, or brand representation.
