Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Perform general dentistry procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Administer local anesthesia and utilize aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately for documentation and communication within the team.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver high-quality patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and related fields through continuous education.
Skills
- 2-3+ years of experience working in a general practice is recommended for success.
- Proficiency in our dental software Dentrix Ascend, is ideal.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication is preferred.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure safety for patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry practices for optimal workflow.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations concerning medical records and patient confidentiality.
- Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
