American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and at least 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting

Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current certifications required (American Heart Association only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience

Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred

Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments

Monitors and obtains physiological data, intervening when necessary, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products

Engages with patients and families to communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions

Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total service before being eligible for a new contract
