Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations up to and including managing trash, drains, and other areas in accordance with health regulations,
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times
- Work with Chef to ensure recipe adherence and proper par levels
- Maintain Dish Pit
- Assist with deliveries and rotation of product
- Duties may include Cut Fruit/Veg program, production of made in house Pizza Dough, as well as other functions in Back of House
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods
- Previous hotel or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
