Off-Campus College Housing Maintenance Worker (Seasonal/Summer Position)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to assist with summer maintenance and apartment repairs for off-campus student housing. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and helping prepare apartments for incoming residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work in student apartments and common areas
- Patch, sand, and paint walls as needed
- Repair or assemble furniture such as beds, desks, dressers, and shelving
- Fix minor plumbing issues including sinks, faucets, drains, and toilets
- Complete basic repairs involving doors, locks, blinds, cabinets, and fixtures
- Assist with apartment turnover and preparation between tenants
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and work areas
- Report larger maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines while working on-site
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of maintenance, repair, or construction work preferred
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move furniture or equipment as needed
- Previous maintenance, handyman, or custodial experience is a plus but not required
Schedule
- Seasonal/summer employment

Work Environment
- Work will take place in occupied and vacant student apartments
- Tasks may involve standing, bending, climbing stairs, lifting, and working indoors or outdoors in summer conditions
Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
