Job Summary: Provides aqua group fitness instruction, monitors and educates patrons on
fitness and safety, while maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for class participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up,
exercises, stretching, and cool down.
2) Instruct patrons on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrate
exercises: identify different muscle groups and teach appropriate methods to strengthen
specific muscles.
3) Prepares appropriate equipment and music for each class.
4) Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for
members and class participants.
5) Demonstrates appropriate modifications and progressions to meet all fitness levels.
6) Keeps management informed of customer and facility needs.
7) Ensures that safety standards are met, and that department and facility policies are
adhered to.
