POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant provides accounting support to Health Group Management, its subsidiaries, and various client organizations to which Health Group Management provides services to ensure appropriate financial processes and systems are in place. Health Group Management provides management services for the skilled nursing home industry in the Arizona and Utah markets. Key client organizations include Haven Health Group and Monument Health Group.
The Staff Accountant is an entry- to experienced- level accounting position. The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate or individual with some experience and proven ability to be high-growth oriented.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical roles and responsibilities that the position would be expected to perform include the following:
- Assist with the month-end accounting close process, including meeting standard deadlines for closing both the P&L and Balance Sheet financial statements.
- Communicate with operational directors on a periodic basis to address questions and concerns, accounting policy compliance, financial reporting insights and other accounting related matters.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to the accounting general ledger.
- Prepare bank and monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze account records, financial statements or other financial reports.
- Periodically review and propose updates to existing policies and procedures, as needed.
- Participate in special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- 0-2 years relevant experience

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
