As a Child Watch Team Member, you’ll bring energy, creativity, and care to every interaction, making each visit a positive experience for both kids and families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prioritize the safety and well-being of all children at all times, ensuring no child is ever left unattended

Create a fun, safe, and stimulating atmosphere through active play and age-appropriate activities

Supervise children during play and facilitate activities that promote skill development, social interaction, and confidence

Foster a welcoming environment by engaging with children and parents in a friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic manner
-
Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating YMCA values in all interactions with children, parents, and staff

Communicate effectively with both children and adults to support a positive experience for all participants
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment, ensuring the space is safe for all ages
-
Learn and follow all emergency procedures and be familiar with the location and use of first aid equipment

Attend all required staff meetings and trainings

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 16 years of age.

Previous experience working with children in a babysitting, childcare, or school setting preferred
-
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 6 months of hire.

Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
