About Westgate
Westgate Manufacturing is a fast-growing LED lighting manufacturer — the brand behind America's Most Dependable Lighting. We design and deliver commercial, architectural, and outdoor lighting sold nationwide through electrical wholesale distributors, independent rep agencies, and the specification community.
About the Role
This role exists at the intersection of product development and technical execution. When a new product is approved and enters our PLM/PDM system, this person takes it the rest of the way — gathering every specification, securing every certification, and making sure the SKU is complete, correct, and ready to sell. The same standard applies to our existing catalog: no outdated, incomplete, or uncertified product leaves our systems unchecked.
You'll need a working knowledge of photometric data and LED lighting fundamentals, an obsessive attention to detail, and the discipline to manage a high volume of concurrent SKUs across multiple stages of completion. If chasing down a missing lumen value or a lapsed DLC listing gives you satisfaction rather than frustration, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Product Data Collection & Management
- Gather, validate, and structure all product attributes for new and existing SKUs: wattage, lumens, CCT, CRI, voltage, dimming, IP rating, dimensions, photometrics, and IES files
- Maintain a single source of truth for product specifications across our PLM/PDM system, ensuring internal and external data is always consistent
- Identify and close gaps on incomplete or outdated SKUs — missing data does not ship
- Partner with engineering and product management to capture accurate data at each stage of the product lifecycle
Photometric File Processing & Publishing
- Process, validate, and manage IES photometric files using standard photometric tools
- Publish photometric files and product images to the Westgate website and catalog
- Verify all published data matches tested and certified values — nothing goes live unsubstantiated
Certifications & Compliance Support
- Track DLC Standard/Premium, ENERGY STAR, UL/ETL certification status and renewal deadlines across the full portfolio; maintain awareness of national energy code compliance (ASHRAE 90.1) and California-specific requirements (Title 24 / JA8) as applicable to product listings
- Assist in organizing all test documentation for submission packages
- Flag expiring or missing qualifications before they create gaps in the catalog or rebate eligibility
- Support DLC QPL submissions and requalifications, with a path to full ownership of the process
Systems & Communication
- Work daily in Microsoft 365: Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive
- Execute data reports, dashboards, and scheduled exports from internal systems
- Maintain document control standards: file naming, version control, archival, and retrieval
- Communicate clearly on task status, flag issues early, and follow documented SOPs
Quality Issues & Resolution
- Track and manage all incoming product quality issues — logging, categorizing, and maintaining accurate records from initial report through resolution
- Coordinate directly with the engineering team to ensure quality issues are investigated and resolved in a timely manner; follow up persistently until root cause and corrective action are documented
- Serve as the point of contact between field-reported quality problems and internal engineering resources — escalating where needed and keeping stakeholders informed on status
- Work with the accounting team to gather and organize the documentation required to support customer credit requests related to product quality claims
- Maintain a clear audit trail on all quality cases to support both internal review and any external reporting or compliance requirements
What You Bring

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working within the broader Microsoft 365 suite
- Experience with photometric software tools (AGi32, Visual, DIALux, or similar)
- Organized, methodical, and reliable — this role lives and dies on data accuracy
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with DLC or ENERGY STAR certification processes
- Familiarity with PIM/PDM or PLM systems and product lifecycle workflows
- Familiarity with national energy codes (ASHRAE 90.1) and California-specific requirements (Title 24 / JA8)
