The Imperial Plaza is one of Honolulu's most recognizable mixed-use residential communities, located in the heart of Kakaʻako. The property consists of a 39-story high-rise tower, townhomes, and commercial spaces serving over 250 residential units.
Our team takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, tenants, guests, and visitors. We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our operations team as a Housekeeping & Maintenance Technician.
Position Overview
This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for supporting both housekeeping and general maintenance operations throughout the property.
The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is comfortable performing a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the community.
This position combines approximately 60% housekeeping and janitorial responsibilities with 40% maintenance support, though duties may vary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Janitorial Services
- Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, recreation areas, and other shared facilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and perform routine deep cleaning tasks
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the property
- Maintain building presentation standards and identify areas requiring attention
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed
Maintenance Support
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and routine property inspections
- Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed
- Assist with light painting, touch-up work, pressure washing, and building upkeep
- Support basic troubleshooting of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems under supervision
- Assist vendors and contractors performing work on-site
General Property Operations
- Monitor, organize, and restock maintenance and housekeeping supplies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in an orderly condition
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and building regulations
- Support special projects, property events, and operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices is a plus
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to assist with occasional weekend, holiday, or emergency response needs
