We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to create an inviting shopping environment
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items to enhance their purchase experience
- Maintain excellent communication skills to effectively manage phone inquiries and assist customers both in-store and over the phone
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a nice-to-have)
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately
- Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations will be beneficial
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
