Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that commercial properties are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Execute repairs on various systems and equipment using tools such as ohm-meters and programmable logic controllers.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee residential painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to timelines.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client requests and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and equipment.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand schematics for effective problem resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
