Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentation that support architectural, engineering, and construction projects. Your expertise in CAD software and 3D modeling tools will be essential in translating concepts into detailed plans, ensuring building code compliance, and facilitating seamless project execution. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other design software such as Revit, Rhino3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Create accurate construction detail documentation and schematics that adhere to building codes and project specifications.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to enhance project coordination and visualization.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce precise technical drawings.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and team members to refine designs and ensure clarity in all documentation.
- Conduct building code analysis to verify compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Assist in system design, interior design layouts, mechanical design, and graphic presentations as needed for project development.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino3D (3ds <PERSON>), Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and building code compliance.
- Skilled in 3D CAD modeling, BIM tools, schematic development, and engineering CAD design processes.
- Familiarity with construction experience across various project types is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with graphic design or system design is a plus but not required.
