Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, Reliable and dynamic Server/host to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and customer service, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued and will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is REQUIRED
Duties
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage waitlist and seating arrangements using the Revel POS system or similar technology.
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand their needs and preferences.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house and restrooms area.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring excellent phone etiquette.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall guest relations.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring that all orders are correct.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Uphold restaurant policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Revel POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food service best practices and phone etiquette is beneficial.
- A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment are essential for success in this role.
