School Based Occupational Therapist
The Gateway School in Carteret, a private school for students with disabilities, is seeking a full-time leave replacement occupational therapist from October 2026 to April 2027.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Occupational Therapist License
- New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) School Occupational Therapist Certificate
- Successful completion of required criminal history background check
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ IEP goals and objectives.
- Monitor student progress, maintain required documentation and prepare timely progress reports and IEP updates.
- Collaborate with teachers, families and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting and support student success.
- Provide recommendations, training, and support regarding therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and related services.
- Maintain compliance with professional standards, licensing requirements, mandated service hours, and applicable state education regulations while utilizing evidence-based practices.
SALARY:
$75,000 - $85,000: prorated, depending on experience.
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
