Pay: $16 - $18/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
No nights. No weekends.
Kiddie Academy of Lancaster is hiring a strong Lead Teacher to help us continue building a high-quality early childhood program.
We are looking for someone who is not only nurturing with children, but also organized, reliable, professional with families, and confident leading a classroom team. The right person will take pride in classroom routines, curriculum, communication, licensing compliance, and creating a warm, safe, engaging environment where children can thrive.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the daily operation of an infant, toddler, twos, preschool, or pre-K classroom
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons using Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum
- Create a classroom environment that supports curiosity, confidence, connection, character, critical thinking, and creative expression
- Guide children using positive, calm, developmentally appropriate behavior strategies
- Supervise and support Assistant Teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain safe, clean, organized, and licensing-compliant classroom routines
- Communicate professionally with families through daily interactions and Tadpoles updates
- Complete required documentation, attendance, incident reports, and classroom records accurately and on time
- Partner with leadership to maintain high standards for supervision, safety, curriculum, and family trust

Required / Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should meet, or be able to document that they meet, Pennsylvania Group Supervisor qualifications. Common qualifying paths include:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or a human services field; or
- Bachelor’s degree with 30 ECE-related credits and 1 year of experience with children; or
- Associate degree in an ECE-related field and 2 years of experience with children; or
- Associate degree with 30 ECE-related credits and 3 years of experience with children.
Prior experience in a licensed child care center, preschool, or early learning program is strongly preferred.
