Position Summary
The Department of Nursing Education seeks a dedicated, student-centered Nursing Faculty to join our full-time faculty in Indianapolis, IN. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction across classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, fostering academic excellence and professional growth among nursing students. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of nurses through teaching, mentorship, and active participation in program development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in nursing theory, clinical practice, and laboratory skills in accordance with established curriculum standards.
- Design, update, and evaluate course materials, assessments, and instructional strategies to ensure alignment with program learning outcomes.
- Supervise and assess student performance in classroom, simulation, and clinical environments.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student success and professional development.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, curriculum planning, accreditation activities, and institutional committees.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student attendance, grades, and clinical evaluations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging trends in nursing education.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the nursing program.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to teamwork, diversity, and the mission of nursing education.
Preferred:
- Previous teaching experience in academic or clinical education settings.
- Experience utilizing simulation-based learning and educational technology.
- Terminal degree in nursing or a related discipline (DNP, PhD, or EdD) preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
