Job Description
We are seeking a Cable Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the installation of Category 6, 6a and Fiber optics low voltage cabling. The role will not only be involved in cabling but also installation of network and server Cabinets, TVs, wireless access points, UPSes, and speaker systems.
The ideal candidate will have the certification to use Areial and scissor lifts as well as ladders.
Key Responsibilities
-
Low voltage installation, testing and certification
-
Fiber optic mechanical and fusion splicing
-
Installation of network/server racks and cabinets
-
Installation of cable management systems including cable trays, ladder racks, and J-hooks.

Installation of EMT and Rigid conduct.
-
Installation of wireless access points and antennas.
-
Rack mounting of network equipment, servers and UPSes.
Required Experience/Skills
-
Installation and troubleshooting of cabling
-
Working in a variety of environments including office space, manufacturing plants, and warehouses

Mounting wallboards and network cabinets
-
Certifying copper and fiber cables
-
Operating lifts
Nice-to-Haves
-
BISCI certification
-
Lift certification
-
Leviton certification
-
Corning certification
Education
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field installing cabling.
