Duties
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as a liftgate and an electric jack
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any incidents during transit
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight documentation, and delivery records in compliance with federal regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route navigation
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using liftgate and electric jack.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving large commercial vehicles and handling different types of cargo
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers during deliveries
- Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and conduct vehicle inspections as required
Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per week
