LIVbetter Infusions is a physician-led outpatient infusion and advanced wellness clinic opening in Wheaton, Illinois. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly organized Lead Infusion RN to help launch and operate our new clinic.
This is not just a standard nursing position. The ideal candidate will help shape the clinical workflow, organize supplies, develop safe patient processes, and help create a premium infusion experience from the ground up.

Position Summary
The Lead Infusion RN will be responsible for delivering safe infusion care while also helping build the day-to-day clinical operations of the clinic.
This role is ideal for an RN who is comfortable with IV therapy, patient monitoring, medication administration, organization, and independent clinical judgment in an outpatient setting.
We are hiring two Lead Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team:
- FT: Tue/Wed/Thu | 7 AM – 5:30 PM
- PT Weekend: Fri/Sat/Sun | 11 AM – 3 PM
Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Start and manage peripheral IVs
- Administer IV hydration, injectable therapies, and prescription infusions according to protocol
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Recognize and respond to infusion reactions or adverse events
- Assist with ketamine therapy monitoring once the service line is active
- Perform vital signs, patient assessments, and treatment documentation
- Educate patients on treatments, expectations, and post-care instructions
- Communicate clinical concerns to the physician/medical director
Clinic Operations
- Help organize infusion rooms, medication areas, supplies, and nursing workflows
- Assist in creating and refining treatment protocols, checklists, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain medication logs, refrigerator temperature logs, supply inventory, and emergency equipment checks
- Help prepare the clinic for opening, including mock patient visits and workflow testing
- Train future nursing or clinical staff as the clinic grows
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Support a high-end, professional patient experience
Prescription Infusion Support
- Assist with intake and clinical readiness for prescription infusion patients
- Review referral documents, medication orders, allergies, and required labs when applicable
- Coordinate with administrative staff regarding patient scheduling and infusion preparation
- Document infusion administration clearly and accurately
- Help communicate treatment completion or clinical issues back to referring providers
Ideal Qualifications
Required
- Active Illinois RN license
- Strong peripheral IV skills
- Comfortable working in an outpatient clinical setting
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while following physician-approved protocols
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, professional, and organized
- Current BLS certification
Preferred
- Infusion center experience
- Experience with biologic infusions, IVIG, iron infusions, or specialty medications
- Experience managing infusion reactions
- Ketamine clinic, PACU, ICU, ER, anesthesia, or procedural sedation experience
- ACLS certification
- Experience helping open or organize a new clinic
- Familiarity with EMR documentation and medication administration records
