Summary:
Responsible for the building and assembly of fusion machines to blueprints. Work directly with the manager to ensure that all quality, safety and production standards are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Required to understand and follow all safety procedures
- Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
- Read and interpret blueprints as required by operation
- Build and assembly machines by selecting the proper tools and components
- Test machines to ensure working properly before shipped to customer
- Responsible for interpretation of work orders
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
- Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
- Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures at all times
- Required to meet or exceed production standards of all work centers daily
- Required to maintain quality standards on all products
- Check machines to maintain engineering drawing tolerances
- Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Mechanical skills; must be able to build and assemble machinery
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing environment
- Able to select the proper component required for a work center
- Must be able to perform all quality control checks within your department
- Thorough, accurate and work error free
- Must be able to perform all quality control checks within your department
- Trained to perform certain preventative maintenance tasks at various work centers
- Capable of working with the floor inspectors to resolve quality problems
- High School Diploma or equivalent, desired
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
- Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time
- Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)
- Exposure to sparks, chips and dust (eye protection required)
- Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
