Why does the job exist?
The Social Services Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will:
Review public assistance cases and verify performance appraisals to ensure compliance with Federal and State mandates;
Provide oversight of case management and eligibility determination, serving as the link between public assistance field offices and Federal mandates;
Monitor a representative sample of cases, conduct client interviews and investigations, and document findings;
Provide clear justification for decisions based on case outcomes and regulatory requirements.
How does it get done?
The Social Services QA Analyst will be responsible for:
Direct contact with Income Support Division (ISD) clientele through home visits, communicating with collateral sources, traveling extensively, and adhering to established deadlines;
Completing monthly reviews of positive and negative cases approved, denied, or closed by ISD County Offices to ensure correct application of State and Federal policies, standards, and procedures;
Reporting detailed findings and allotment computations using the FNS 380 Worksheet and FNS 245 in SNAP QCS;
Submitting completed monthly assignments to the Unit Supervisor, QC Operations Manager, and QC Staff Manager for final review, with the understanding that cases may be returned for correction or further development.

Minimum Qualification
Associate Degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Family Services from an accredited college/university and two (2) years of any combination of experience, including working with communities on health or social service-related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must possess or obtain Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions
Office setting with exposure to VDT. EXTENSIVE in-state travel. Conduct one-to-one interviews with individuals receiving public assistance to validate benefits issued.
