Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a lively environment and enjoy caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of the dogs in our care while providing exceptional customer service to their owners.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring a safe and fun environment.
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and common spaces.
- Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns to management.
- Provide basic grooming services such as brushing and bathing when necessary.
- Ensure that all dogs are properly socialized and interact positively with each other.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Assist in training sessions or provide basic obedience training as required.
Requirements
- Experience in dog handling or kennel work is preferred.
- Background in veterinary care (veterinary technician or assistant experience) is a plus.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial.
- Strong skills in animal care, including animal restraint and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for animals and commitment to their well-being.

Pet Care Technician Responsibilities:
- Achieve the mission and goals of K9 Resorts.
- Ensure all guests are cared for in compliance with company standards.
- Oversee the health, safety and well-being of dogs in daycare and boarding.
- Maintain the sanitation of all accommodations and outdoor areas.
- Perform body checks to identify pre-existing conditions and/or injuries.
- Work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management, including:
- Running dogs from daycare or boarding to customers.
- Providing personal playtimes for dogs.
- Taking dogs outside for elimination breaks.
