The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking a School Nutrition Delivery Driver/Team Member.Duties include: 1. Drive a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivering foods from production kitchen to various schools/sites following a predetermined schedule.2. Assist with packing and unloading of hot and cold items correctly in their containers. 3.
Unload at site, documenting temperatures when necessary. Place cold items in site refrigerator and hot food items into site food warmers.4. Return delivery vehicle to Quabbin Middle/High School. 5.
Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle.6. Transfer food, paper and other food service products between locations ensuring to follow safety precautions and road safety.7. Exchange School Nutrition mail envelopes and money deposits from each kitchen site and deliver to the School Nutrition Director8. Responsible for making overnight bank deposits drops.
9. May be required to perform work beyond the standard work calendar when workload requires. 10. May perform kitchen preparation and serving as assigned11.
Work in concert with School Nutrition SupervisorsQUALIFICATIONS: 1. Basic knowledge of food service equipment and sanitation procedures2. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions3. Must be able to work for extended periods of time while standing, with full range of bodily movement and be able to lift 40 lbs.4.
Possession of a valid and appropriate Massachusetts Drivers License.5. Drive and operate a light/medium delivery vehicle safely and in conformance with State laws and provide recent driving record from insurance provider.6 Safe driving practices: operation of light and/or medium delivery vehicles appropriate methods for lifting and loading supplies and equipment.9. Proper operation of hand trucks and dollies10. Maintain tight work schedule(s) without close supervision11.
Ability to keep simple records12. Work quickly and efficiently13. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with those contacted in the course of the workday. 14.
Drive under all types of weather conditions. 15. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
