Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including the handling of materials, order picking, and shipping and receiving processes. Duties
- Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented and processed.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment by keeping work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency within the warehouse operations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills related to heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and equipment operation such as cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures is an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices is essential.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is a plus but not required.
