Job Title: Registered Nurse (Psychiatric)

Hours/Shift: Full-Time Evenings, 3:30P -12A, with weekend rotation
Job Summary: One of our clients is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (Psychiatric) to join their team in an addiction center in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with psychiatric and addiction issues, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to clients, including comprehensive admission assessments, medication administration, and physician-ordered medical treatments.
- Transcribe orders and collect specimens for laboratory analysis or culture.
- Provide health education to clients and monitor client behavior.
- Participate in treatment planning and handle crisis interventions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Provide clinical supervision to licensed, paraprofessional, and direct care personnel.
- Assist in general client care activities, such as meal preparation and room preparation.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and ensure building security.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current RN license and registration to practice nursing in New York State.
- Experience in psychiatric or addiction nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Willing to undergo job training.
- RNs must be reliable, fully functional, and not the type to "pass meds and leave".
