Position Overview
Fairview Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide resident-centered therapy services that help individuals improve their independence, functional abilities, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic activities designed to improve daily living skills and functional independence
- Monitor, document, and communicate resident progress
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining professional relationships with residents and families
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with professional standards and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program
- Active Illinois licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate approach to resident care
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
- New graduates encouraged to apply
