We are seeking a highly skilled Robotic Welder Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing robotic welding programs to ensure precision, efficiency, and safety in production processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of robotics, robot programming, and manufacturing systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our automated welding operations. Duties
- Develop and modify robotic welding programs using Fanuc and other robotics platforms to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate program implementation.
- Perform root cause analysis on welding defects or process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance.
- Set up and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and vision inspection systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of program changes, system configurations, and process parameters for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct routine maintenance on robotic systems, tooling, and machining components to prevent downtime.
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing or modifying tooling fixtures and mechanical components related to robotic welding.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, and quality control procedures throughout all operations.
Skills
- Proven experience programming Fanuc robots in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of robotics integration.
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining, schematics, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency in robot programming languages and software tools used for automation control systems.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems and their integration into robotic welding processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at maximizing efficiency while minimizing waste.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD/CAM software for designing mechanical components or tooling fixtures.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex automation issues.
