Trident Veterinary Hospital is a newly build, family-owned, state-of-the-art, modern small animal practice located on the edge of Poway and Scripps Ranch in California. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care through communication and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician who is committed to excellence in patient care and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and monitor anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures
- Conduct patient assessments and physical exams
- Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture and cystocentesis
- Administer medications (oral, injectable)
- Assist with dental radiographs, cleanings and extractions
- Perform diagnostic lab work (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
- Prepare and assist in surgery and recovery
- Communicate with clients regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records in EzyVet (experience preferred)
- Help train and mentor assistants when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
Qualifications:
- Licensed RVT in the state of California
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Proficiency in anesthesia, dentistry, lab work, and patient care
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods
