This role is responsible for the design & engineering of power systems for clients in manufacturing, industrial, and process environments. This position requires close collaboration with engineers, designers, and technicians.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop Electrical design and engineering deliverables, including single line diagrams, panel schedules, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate project requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
- Coordinate with external engineering firms & clients to meet project objectives on time and within budget.
- Help ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards.
- Work with vendors to select components and evaluate technical specifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex electrical problems and model power systems.
- Communication: Technical writing and team collaboration skills for project coordination.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for safety compliance and infrastructure design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project job walks.
Preferred:
- Internship or co-op experience in electrical engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, UL508A, or other relevant standards.
- Engineer in Training (EIT): Achieved by passing the FE exam.
- Professional Engineer (PE): Required for signing off on projects and higher-level roles, requiring a PE exam, and typically 4+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., Easy Power, ETAP).
Additional Information:
- Travel is estimated to be less than 25%.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
