Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shag/Yard Truck Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating shag trucks to move and freight within our facility. We are looking for Shag drivers for our second and third shift operation. Hours are 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am Monday-Friday. We do work Saturdays when needed by the plant. We are willing to train but experience drivers are wanted. If you have a CDL we do have incentive pay to join our team.
Duties
- Safely operate shag trucks to move freight within the yard or between facilities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Assist with securing doors and sealing them properly for every trailer you move.
- Follow designated routes driving within the yard
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and dispatch to coordinate freight movement efficiently
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including commercial driving with a focus on yard operation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailer operations preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling, vehicle inspection, and road safety regulations

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
