Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finishing Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring that products meet quality standards and are prepared for final packaging. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in manufacturing or finishing processes is a plus but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

Essential Duties:
- Inspect finished products for quality, defects, and adherence to specifications
- Lifting springs from 5 to 50 lbs. from wire basket to hang on hooks for powder coating and taking them off
- Regular attendance per work schedule and able to at times of high-volume work overtime including Saturday work
- Perform detailed hand finishing tasks to ensure product quality and appearance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist in packaging and preparing products for shipment as needed
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times
- Document completion of tasks and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
- Previous Forklift Experience and pallet jack use or willingness to receive training
Responsibilities & Accountability:
- Assist in the various stages of the Stamping & Packaging Dept.
- Previous experience in packaging and or assembly work
- Knowledge and use of basic and precise measuring equipment
- Hanging Department
- Check coating schedule and follow schedule delegated by management
- Review paperwork prior to starting order
- Hang finished goods onto moving conveyor line of coating machine
- After coated remove from conveyor line and stage for next process
- Participate in the various functions of cleanup daily: clean hooks, clean line, check chemicals, breakdown cardboard boxes
- Paint Booth Department
- Check coating schedule and prepare proper powder color for order
- Spray powder coating onto finished goods hanging on conveyor line
- Review the coated finished goods for even spray and have quality test
- Participate in the various functions of cleanup daily: clean spray guns daily, sweep up excess powder over spray from floors and around machine, clean-out ovens daily
- Stamping Department
- Mix inks and make and prepare templates of logo and various part numbers
- Setup machine to run orders
- Plan packaging requirements for order after finished goods are stamped
- Check coating and stamps for correctness
- Participate in the various functions of cleanup daily: clean-out inks, clean off stamping tables, sweep area floors
- Packaging Department
- Package finished goods straight off stamping table
- Place rubber tubing onto finished goods when required to do so
- Bag orders when required to do so
- Label finished goods with barcode sticker when required to do so
- Manually hand stamp when required to do so. Ex. Custom small orders that cannot be setup on automated stamp table
- Complete Final paperwork when order is packaged and weave loaded into bins.
- Stage order for Warehouse storage
- Operate a manual and electric pallet jack when moving bins and baskets of finished goods
- Participate in the various functions of cleanup daily: Clean off tables used to package, put up packaging materials, sweep area floors, remove trash, place pallet jacks back where they belong
Physical Demands:
- Standing, and bending movements: Frequent standing with breaks according to work schedule, frequent bending movements
- Repetitive work with both hands-on parts and computer usage
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at certain times
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack and maneuver product around to staging areas.
