3rd Shift Straight Truck Driver - Linehaul (NON CDL)
Monday-Friday (10pm - 5 / 6 am) 35+hr/week- off Saturday evenings & Sundays
Position Overview
This driving position drivers a straight truck from our Weston location to our Madison location nightly; transferring our daily mail and packages inter-company. Loading and unloading at both locations. Some heavy lifting required with use of palette jacks and dollies.
Job Requires
- Following routes
- Meeting deadlines
- Maintaining safety by following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicating with Dispatch
- Completing paperwork
- Performing basic maintenance, such as refueling and visual inspections
- Reporting issues
Essential Functions
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be a legal resident of the United States.
- Must have a valid driver's license that is in good standing; safe driving record
- Must pass and maintain Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) record check
- Must pass and adhere to criminal background standards
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner’s Certificate (FedMed card)
- Pallet jack and forklift experience a plus; will train on the job
- Ability to obtain and maintain pallet jack and forklift certification
- Adhere to post accident drug testing requirements
- Must be able to drive in all-weather conditions (rain, snow, ice, etc.)
- Must be able and willing to maneuver up to 50lbs. regularly and 150 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able and willing to kneel, squat, climb ladders/stairs
- Must be able to drive for extended periods of time
