In this key role, you'll wear the crown in our produce department. You'll be responsible for ensuring we offer the freshest, highest-quality produce selection possible. You'll oversee all aspects of the department from ordering and stocking to creating beautiful displays and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Freshness First: Select high-quality produce, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper rotation to minimize spoilage.
- Ordering Expertise: Place accurate orders based on sales trends, seasonality, and maximizing profitability.
- Master of Display: Create visually appealing and informative produce displays that entice customers and promote sales.
- Customer Champion: Provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, and offer product recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Knowledge is Power: Stay up-to-date on the latest produce trends, identify new and exciting items to stock, and educate customers about seasonal offerings.
- Maintaining the Oasis: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the produce department.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of various fruits and vegetables, including proper handling, storage, and seasonality.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
