Position Summary:
Park River Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans designed to help residents regain independence in activities of daily living and improve overall functional ability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents in improving daily living skills, mobility, coordination, and strength.
- Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate approach to patient care.
Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
