Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Full-Line Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural equipment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, along with experience in modern computer-controlled systems.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, and repair agricultural equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and computerized controls.
- Work on a full line of equipment such as tractors, haying machines, tillage equipment, and related implements.
- Accurately diagnose problems and recommend repair solutions independently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computer software to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with service managers and customers regarding findings, repair options, and timelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in a commercial shop setting.
- Complete repairs in a timely, professional manner with attention to quality and detail.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an agricultural, heavy equipment, or diesel technician.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins.
- Must provide and maintain a personal set of tools appropriate for the work.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are a plus.
