Mission of the Senior Commercial Account Executive
To lead and grow a complex book of commercial clients by providing exceptional service, strategic risk advising, proactive policy management, and account development. The Senior Commercial Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor to clients, mentors team members, collaborates with producers and carrier partners, and helps drive agency growth through retention, cross-selling, operational excellence, and leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Management & Retention
- Maintain strong client retention by delivering proactive, responsive service and building lasting client relationships.
- Conduct formal account reviews regularly, evaluating coverage gaps, emerging risks, discounts, and opportunities to deepen client protection.
- Manage complex client interactions (phone, email, service requests) with professionalism and urgency, ensuring inquiries are answered within 24 hours.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by educating clients on policy details, industry trends, risk management strategies, and the agency's full suite of offerings.
- Document all interactions and activities accurately in EPIC, including endorsements, audits, claims guidance, billing, and renewals.
Account Rounding & Revenue Growth
- Identify cross-sell and account rounding opportunities (e.g., umbrella, cyber, EPLI, equipment, personal lines).
- Follow up on prior quotes, monoline accounts, and canceled business to recover or expand coverage.
- Generate referrals from satisfied clients and actively promote the agency's referral and testimonial program.
- Support agency growth goals by proactively identifying opportunities to expand commercial and personal insurance relationships.
New Business Support & Onboarding
- Partner with producers to support quoting, documentation, carrier communication, and strategic account placement during onboarding.
- Review complex new business files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Assist with onboarding large or complex accounts and confirm all required documentation (applications, payments, signatures) is received and filed.
Carrier & Compliance Coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to facilitate underwriting, endorsements, binding, and account negotiations.
- Maintain compliance with all agency and carrier documentation standards.
- Assist with remarketing strategies and support agency goals related to carrier relationships and account profitability.
Leadership, Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate seamlessly with producers and team members to strengthen client relationships and achieve agency goals.
- Mentor and support Account Executives by providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and assisting with complex accounts and coverage questions.
- Serve as a resource for problem-solving, workflow improvements, and best practices within the department.
- Maintain strong relationships with referral partners and help attract business owners' personal lines accounts to the agency.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain an organized, efficient workflow through the use of agency technology and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance client service, and reduce errors or coverage gaps.
- Ensure agency standards for follow-up, documentation, and communication are consistently met.
- Participate in ongoing professional development while helping support agency initiatives, training, and process improvements.
Marketing & Branding Support
- Share agency content on personal and professional networks when appropriate.
- Suggest blog, email, and social media content ideas based on client questions and industry trends.
- Request Google reviews and client testimonials regularly to strengthen the agency's online presence and reputation.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
