Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout events, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, demonstrating knowledge of beverage pairings and presentation techniques
- Set up banquet spaces according to event specifications, including arranging tables, linens, glassware, and utensils for seamless service
- Serve food courses efficiently while maintaining proper food handling procedures and adhering to food safety standards
- Buss tables promptly after guests leave to ensure cleanliness and readiness for subsequent service
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for order processing and billing purposes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining guest relations
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or banquet service is highly preferred; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus
- Demonstrated culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order calculations
- Knowledge of wine types, beverage service techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems for order entry and transaction processing
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a hospitality setting
