POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as the Welcoming Face and Voice of the Learning Center. Able to communicate is both English and
Spanish as needed. Exudes friendliness and genuine caring to all who call or enter. Responsible for
greeting all guests, students, parents and staff as they enter the building or inquire on the phone. Directing
phone calls to the appropriate colleague. Responsible for light clerical duties, mail sorting and distribution,
supply requisition and cleanliness of the desk and lobby area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English
2. Translate for parents during enrollment, meetings and daily needs
3. Translate flyers, newsletters and communications as requested
4. Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate teacher/counselor
5. Welcomes and greets guests immediately upon arrival, even if on the telephone, by a nod and
smile
6. Confirms that all students sign in for their hourly sessions. Keeps a spreadsheet for student
attendance per teacher
7. Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel
8. Responsible for the confidentiality of Cumulative Records, filing and storing
9. Provides callers with information such as School Address, directions to the company locations,
company fax numbers, company website and other related information
10. Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications
11. County Mail and pick up
12. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
13. Takes Family through Reg Online
14. Helps with data entry for enrollment and additional departments as needed
15. Collects new student documents, scans and distributes
16. Creates Flyers as directed and approved by LC Director
17. Monitors supplies and assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office
supplies
18. Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing filing and collating
19. Maintains cleanliness of reception and copier area
20. Maintain large classroom (books are put away, laptops/chargers are put away)
21. Empty trash when necessary (ones in public view) empty shredder as needed
22. Make sure copiers/printers are loaded with paper, keep an eye on ink levels
23. Ensure all students check in and out
24. Check in and out computers to students
25. Monitor Supplies and coordinate purchases with LC Director
26. Review LP’s to submit or give to LC Director

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in a variety of settings including classrooms, offices and outdoors and may
experience heat or cold extremes as well as fumes, odors, dust, noise level is moderate to loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Spends the majority of the day standing and sitting in an office setting. While standing the they will
frequently hold light objects they are working and demonstrating, etc. These can be held from waist
level to slightly above the principal’s head. The position can entail kneeling or squatting, stooping
and bending from 50-70 degrees at the waist on an occasional to frequent basis on a given day
- May use computers, overhead projectors, TV, VCR, etc.
- Must sit on a consistent basis. This is done at the desk with forward bending from the waist,
leaning on the forearms, and looking down which requires neck flexion
- It is necessary to grasp and manipulate pens, markers, scissors, staplers, etc., either occasionally
or frequently,
depending on the day
- May occasionally have to climb or balance on counters, stepladders or chairs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual English and Spanish
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma
2. 1 year of administrative experience
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Associate degree
2. Two years of related experience
