Doorman / Porter
Location: Midtown East, Manhattan

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and service-oriented Doorman / Porter to join the team at a well-maintained residential building in Midtown East. This position is a combination of front-door doorman responsibilities and general porter duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist residents, guests, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Monitor the building entrance and maintain a welcoming presence in the lobby.
- Assist residents with packages, deliveries, luggage, and other reasonable requests.
- Receive and organize packages and deliveries as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, entrances, and other common areas.
- Perform routine porter and cleaning duties throughout the building.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean common areas as needed.
- Remove trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness around designated collection areas.
- Assist with keeping the building exterior, sidewalks, and entrance areas clean and orderly.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or building conditions to the Superintendent or Property Management.
- Assist with moving or transporting supplies and materials when necessary.
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and building staff.
- Perform other building-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a doorman, porter, handyman, or in a similar residential building position preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and a positive, courteous attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and walking throughout the building.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to residents' needs.
Compensation & Schedule
- $20.00 per hour
