Join the Locals Seafood Team – Bring Fresh NC Seafood to Your Community!
At Locals Seafood, our mission is simple: get the freshest North Carolina seafood to North Carolinians. We're a local, close-knit team that's rapidly growing — and we're looking for motivated people to grow with us.
We're currently hiring for two roles: Delivery Driver and Fish Monger/Market Associate.
Why Work With Us?
Working at Locals Seafood isn't your average job. You'll start your day knowing exactly what you're working toward, alongside a team that takes pride in being prepared, doing it right, and having some fun along the way. Yes, it gets messy. Yes, there are some low-tide smells. We wouldn't have it any other way.
- Learn everything about North Carolina seafood — straight from the source
- Stay physically active every day — no desk job here
- Real upward mobility in a growing local business
- Work with people who care, not a faceless corporation

Our Mission:
Did you know that most North Carolina seafood is shipped up the east coast to northern markets? And that nearly 90% of all seafood eaten in the United States is imported seafood, which has far less regulation?
By creating a market for local seafood inside state lines, we can help instill stability and prosperity to our state’s fisherfolk, oyster farmers, shrimpers, fish houses, and processors. Providing access to North Carolina seafood for North Carolina consumers allows residents to directly benefit from their taxpayer-managed fisheries. This increases demand for North Carolina products across the seafood market, incentivizing coastal professionals to sell more products within their home state.
How You'd Help
Delivery Driver
As a Driver, you're the link between our processing facility and the local restaurants that depend on us for fresh seafood. Your key responsibilities would include helping receive and pack incoming seafood orders, then hitting the road to deliver them to restaurants across the Triangle area. You'll get to know the local food scene, build relationships with our restaurant partners, and take real pride in keeping their kitchens stocked with the freshest catch North Carolina has to offer.
Fish Monger / Market Associate
As a Fishmonger or Market Associate, your key responsibilities would include preparing fish and seafood for sale — filleting, scaling, and cleaning at our processing facility — then bringing all of that fresh seafood to sell at one of our four Farmer's Market locations. While there, you'll be answering customer questions and sharing your knowledge about the local fish and seafood we offer.
For Both Roles:
If this would be your first time working with fish, we're happy to help you get your feet wet. We're rapidly expanding and looking for people who want to learn and grow with us — we'll teach you everything you need to know. When you work with us, you stay physically active, develop a wealth of knowledge about North Carolina seafood, and work alongside a team that loves finding new and innovative ways to bring great seafood to our community. Sure, it gets messy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
