Bass Environmental is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Waste Processing Technician to support daily operations at our Campbell facility. This role is responsible for the handling, processing, and preparation of waste materials in compliance with all state, federal, and company environmental and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, sort, and process incoming waste materials according to established procedures
- Operate basic processing equipment such as compactors, pumps, forklifts, and drum handling tools (training provided)
- Loading and unloading/shipping and receiving of freight - hands on.
- Properly label, package, and stage waste for transport or disposal
- Assist with loading and unloading, shipping and recieving, inventory
- Conduct routine inspections of containers, equipment, and processing areas
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and inventory records
- Perform housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant
- Immediately report spills, incidents, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Support other facility and field operations as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in waste processing, environmental services, manufacturing, or industrial settings preferred
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Adaptable to change in a growing environment
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to use PPE at all times
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation
- Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work around industrial equipment, noise, and odors
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday 10 hour days and every other Sat from 6a to noon.
- Day shift (exact hours may vary based on operational needs)
